According to CoreLogic, home prices rise by a very strong 1.1% in April. This is after a 1.2% rise in March, showing that home price appreciation is very strong. CoreLogic initially forecasted that the rise would be only 0.8%.

This shows a continual growth trend with an expected 3.4% rise over the next year. Some believe that this forecast is conservative based on CoreLogic’s forecasts continually being exceeded.

Black Knight shows a decrease in the year-over-year rise, from 5.7% to 5.1%. While these rise values are declining, it is still a very opportunistic time to purchase a home.
